WHAT IS GYOTAKU?

“Gyotaku” - a Japanese method of printmaking that utilises fish/ seafood as 'printing plates’. Ink is applied to the produce then paper is overlayed on top.

These were traditionally used by fishmongers to display what their shops were selling. All the prints are produce we use in the Pipit kitchen.

Our prints features fresh produce from our local suppliers include
